Ryan O'Neal and his son, Redmond, were arrested and charged with possessing methamphetamine on Wednesday, following a search of the actor's home. The home was searched in connection with O'Neal Jr's probation case; he pleaded guilty in June to driving under the influence and possession of heroin and methamphetamine. In exchange for starting a drug treatment program and undertaking three years' probation, young O'Neal managed to avoid being locked up.

Given that the last drug bust I wrote about involved Tatum O'Neal, it would seem that drugs are a family trait. But, hey, if daddy does it, then the kids will too.
